Subway performers are usually pretty talented people. Some of them can wow even the most cynical New Yorkers. Talent aside, it takes a lot of guts to stand up and entertain what is most likely a pretty miserable group of people, especially when you know they probably won’t pay much attention to your performance.
But when one subway saxophone player stepped onto the train, he got the surprise of a lifetime.
Everyone in this subway car was in for an epic treat.
And here’s the battle from the competitor’s point of view…
It’s not every day that you see a bunch of commuters cheering for a subway performance. In fact, I’ve lived in New York for over 3 years, and I’ve never seen that happen. Thanks to two talented sax players, these people got off the train with a great story to tell.
