Refined sugar

Red and processed meat

Smoked and pickled food

Farmed salmon

Whenever you’re in the mood for salmon, make sure to buy it fresh. The frozen salmon that can be found for cheap in the markets is not wild-caught. This type of salmon is grown in unhealthy conditions and fed with pellets and antibiotics which can put your health in grave danger. This type of meat has also been linked to several types of aggressive cancers.

Potato chips

Everyone’s favorite snack doesn’t just make you gain weight – it also increases your risk of cancer. Potato chips are fried in hydrogenated oils at extreme heat which produces a compound called acrylamide that ends up in the final product. They also contain other types of harmful compounds which can raise the risk of colorectal, prostate, ovarian and breast cancer. Plus, potato chips are also full of salt, fats and calories which can cause a variety of heart problems, so why not go for an apple instead?
